Calling all performers - the City of Casey is on the hunt for the next local star as part of the 2015 Casey’s Got Talent.
Council is inviting individual or group performers of all ages who live, work or study in the municipality to audition for Casey’s home-grown talent competition between Friday 2 and Sunday 4 October 2015.
The best acts will be selected to compete for great prizes at the Casey’s Got Talent Mayoral Charity Concert on Saturday 24 October 2015, to be held at the River Gum Performing Arts Centre.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Mick Morland encouraged residents to start rehearsing and get ready to show off their talents.
"Casey is home to many talented and creative people and Council would love to see a variety of acts from singers, dancers, comedians, instrumentalists or even magicians.
"This competition is a great platform for performers, and an opportunity to showcase your talents, gain experience performing in front of a crowd and to potentially win some great prizes and recognition.
"Individuals or groups can enter across four age categories, up to 10 years, 11-15 years, 16- 20 years or 21 years and over, which are determined by the oldest person in the group.
"If you think you’ve got a talent worth showing off then why not throw your hat in the ring – this is your time to shine," Cr Morland concluded.
To audition for Casey’s Got Talent please book in advance at the Casey's Got Talent webpage. Cost to audition is $15.00 per act.
